This is the Deep Root SeedStarting System made by Garderners.com (http://www.gardeners.com/Deep-Root-Seed-Starting-Kit/35-657RS,default,pd.html). I bought two of them, and have planted them today (5/18). You can see in the first picture that they work using the water-wicking effect.
Each DRSS-System kit includes a 15-Seed-Cell tray. However they sell separate trays that have more cells, and i bought a few. I bought two 28 Cell-Trays and one 40 Cell-Tray. (http://www.gardeners.com/Seedstarting-Trays/35-696RS,default,pd.html?&q=deep%20root%20seedstarting%20system).
The first system has a 40 cell-tray. In that i planted the top row (8 cells) of Marigolds. The second and third rows (16 cells) i planted Carrots. The fourth and final rows (16 cells) i planted Corn.
The second system has a 28 cell-tray. On the right two cells have Bell Peppers planted in them, and another two cells have Jalapeno Peppers planted in them. Then two rows of cells (10 cells) have Green Bean Bush planted in them (2 Cells are going to have Grape-Tomato seeds planted in them), and the final two rows of cells (12 cells) have Cucumber Bush planted in them.
